Porsche Engine Rebuilds

Nine Excellence (9e) is known throughout the Porsche community for building high performance engines. We have built numerous engines including many that deliver up to 1500hp. We are not just turbo engine build specialists - we have taken all of the knowledge from building high hp engines and applied that knowledge to all types of Porsche engine rebuilds. 

All of our engines are built onsite by our technicians. We do use a specialist engineering company for any required machining of the block, line boring etc  

Models we cover:

Air-Cooled engines

We offer rebuilds for all air-cooled engines, from 356 right through to 993.

Front Engine Models

We offer rebuilds on all front engine models 924,944,968, 928, Panamera and Cayenne.

Water-Cooled Engines

We offer rebuilds on all water-cooled engines, Boxster, Cayman, Carrera, Turbo/GT2, and GT3s.

 

 

Levels of rebuild

Top end refresh

This is a partial rebuild and can be carried out for a number of reasons, oil leaks, snapped head studs, wear on the valvetrain etc. On some models we can include piston ring replacement and bore inspections in a top end rebuild.  The crankcase and crankshaft will be left together at this level of rebuild.

Stock Rebuild

This is a full rebuild of the engine. We strip the engine, clean, measure and assess the condition of all parts, and then rebuild the engine with all new bearings, piston rings, seals, gaskets, chains/belts etc

Upgraded Rebuild

As with the stock rebuild, this is a full engine rebuild but with some modifications to known weak areas, such as head studs, and con rods. If you have a turbo charged model and may be looking to increase the power output in the future, this would be the level of rebuild we recommend for you. Although we do have good upgrades for the non turbo charged models as well.

 Custom Rebuild

Warranty 

All of our engine builds come with our in house  2 year / 24,000 mile warranty. This includes custom builds.
